Java day 11
okay so I said i was gonna abandon Flash for Director
reality check- I was trying to learn lingo and that was miserble. I thought about it and if I’m gonna learn a language and go thru the grief i might az well make it the mother of all current web languages. So it came to pass that i’m day 11/21 in Sam’s teach yourself Java for the 1.5 SDK- i’m amazed that now that I really get actionscript that this stuff in Java is making perfect sense- what else is cool is that stuff in advanced actionscript that cats sounded so brilliant coming up with is just rudimentary Java format. It alos makes it easier towrite amazng actionscript because class based development is the only choice in Java.
i kinda see the future of A.S. in Java though becaus eI know they’re planning a monster version for 8ball to whoop the arse on Sparkle- last I heard 8ball is scheduled for a late 2005 release. i’m looking at the possibility of getting some coldfusion hosting so any recs are appreciated. I have to sit down and finish the chapter in my actionscript guide that introduces remoting.
okay i have to go read more about swing now.
