Leo’s Icon Archive

I was looking for some Flash Clip-Art 2 use in one of my projects and a google search lead me to Leo’s Icon Archive…45 minutes and 30 icon downloads later I realized that 10,000 is a lot and I should probably just come back on an as needed basis. Excellent resource incles some system icons in .ico and gif transparent gif format.

The reason I was searching for icons is that Macromedia’s DRK 9 comes with a set of 40 windows type icons for Flash App development. Do u think they’re pushing this Flash as an Application DEvelopment platform thing hard enough? I’m listening though. With the anticipated increase in performance in the next Flash Player (code name Maelstrom) and these high end RIAs showing up on the web it’s time to go ahead and learn that Java and those design patterns I’ve been dancing around.
