New Unity3D Tutorial Sites With Many Video Tuts

Unity video tutorial sites continue to appear!  UnityTutorials.com is a growing a collection of video resources and also have a beautifully designed site.  Thus far they have a series of 6 tutorials about optimizing game content with lightmaps compared to in-game lights, tileable texture use, modeling a building facade, game prop modeling and others that I’ll have to wait for the weekend to dig into.

They also have a section with a collection of document tutorials.  Several of the tutorials are by David Larson whose site GeartechGames.com also has a large collection of video resources and Unity 3D source files and example projects. Be sure not to overlook the useful collection of links on the Geartechgames site.

To keep up with the videos that and demos that the community is cranking out we’ve added a videos gallery and the latest Unity 3D related news and blog posts on the Infinite Unity3D Site.  We encourage you to submit your own work to both sections and to vote on your favorites for our weekly highlights.

1. One of the best tutorial Unity Tutorials for Flash Developers is Unity3D for Flash Developers from Ethical Games .
2. Will Goldstone, author of Unity Game Development Essentials, also provides a comprehensive Unity video tutorial at LearnMeSilly.com where you build 3 mini games and learn Unity3D and a good bit of Cinema4D.
3. This brief but power-packed set of tutorials from Unity Jumpstart you build a 2d vertical shooter but focus on the mechanics of Unity game development and  gameplay.
4. Melissa Church has put together a wonderful set of introductory Unity 3D tutorials on Vimeo:  Check them out.
5. The Submissions in the Uniknowledge competition are also packed with basic level information
